Contour Apartments, Cronulla, Nominated on Residential Architecture - Multiple Housing Award

In the upcoming NSW Architecture Awards by the Australian Institute of Architects, congratulations to the team at PBD Architects for the Contour Apartments, Cronulla, nominated for both the Residential Architecture - Multiple Housing Award.

Contour Apartments, a piece of contemporary sculptural architecture sits within the beautiful costal environment of Cronulla. The gentle curvilinear form of the building takes direct inspiration from the eroded coastal sandstone with a series of horizontal bands encasing the building in ribbons. These bands, articulated with warm white tones and timber battens allow a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor.
