BMI EverGuard on the Flat Roof of a Logistics Warehouse

A flat roof for an international logistics center in Barcelona

This case study tells of how we have implemented our BMI EverGuard System with white finish on the flat roof of this continental logistics centre in the port of Barcelona.

This logistics warehouse was developed in only 14 months and is 95,987 m², being one of the largest in Spain. It comprises 2 buildings, which include a ground floor, an office floor and a connecting corridor between the two and technical rooms. This is in addition to 112 docks for trucks and 4 for unloading vans.

All this is achieved using the latest technology and following criteria of energy efficiency and healthy working conditions, which makes it one of the most sustainable in the country and has allowed it to achieve Platinum category LEED certification from the US Green Building Council.

For its construction, we used our BMI EverGuard TPO 1.5mm system in the roofs as the main sheet, using a laminated profile for parapets and vertical joints and EverGuard D 1.5mm without reinforcement for detailing at singular points using mixed fixing. The type of insulation used was Dock Energy 365 Rockwool, with 120mm thickness.

The construction was carried out by our BMIRoofPro, Solduct. This ensures that the entire process is as efficient as possible and always achieves the highest system quality.
