Britex partners with Australia’s leading BIM content specialists IGS Group (IGS BIM Solutions) to undertake a comprehensive update of our extensive, high-quality Revit library, and to make it available via the BIMcontent.com platform.

Regarded as one of the industry’s most widely used manufacturer-specific BIM resources, the Britex Revit library was updated by IGS to include a number of new, innovative products and to align with current best practices for Revit family creation. In addition to updating the library, Britex Revit content is now hosted on the BIMcontent.com platform to expand distribution and optimise user experience for building design professionals browsing and downloading Britex Revit families.

The Britex Revit content library is a highly valuable resource for design professionals as it streamlines the creation of project documentation and assists with the generation of visualisation outputs used in stakeholder engagement processes. The library contains an extensive suite of Revit families across numerous project categories that can be used in wide range of project settings such as education, laboratories, healthcare, correctional facilities, public spaces, commercial kitchens, and accessible amenities.

In developing the Britex Revit library, consideration has been given to ensuring a balance between visualisation quality, functionality, ease of use, documentation requirements, and performance in a BIM project environment. A notable feature of the Britex Revit library is the Revit families incorporating Advanced ‘PBR’ Materials to produce high-quality visualisation outputs. For Revit users, a ‘Virtual Showroom’ (.RVT file) is available to efficiently download and browse the whole library or to perform QA checks, as it has been pre-configured to review key quality aspects such as data consistency, LOD settings and documentation output. Alternatively, the library can be downloaded as individual families in Revit 2019-2023, as ‘Collections’ based on product categories, or as a bulk ‘Download All’ option.

BIMcontent.com’s website integration feature ensures designers experience the same optimised search, preview, and download workflows on both the Britex website and BIMcontent.com. Designers can now preview the 3D Revit geometry directly in the web browser, view parameter data, download specific versions of content, and choose the download format that best suits their needs.
