The official opening of Camden’s multi-million BMX track took place recently, celebrating the recent upgrades to Kirkham Park BMX Facility, which cost $5.56 million in total, and which have transformed it into an international-level venue.
Speaking at Saturday’s official opening, Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the facility would be a popular spot for many young and aspiring athletes whilst also attracting riders from all over Australia.
“Council is dedicated to providing its residents with new high-quality facilities, and this facility is definitely one of the jewels in our crown,” Cr Fedeli said.
Penetron Admix was added to the concrete mix to increase the durability of the concrete and ensure that structure remained sustainable for many years to come.
Penetron Australia would like to thank John Bosque and his team at Lamond Contracting for all their support and collaboration throughout the build.
