The project at Albert Park College (APC) sees a refurbishment at the Danks Street campus. JCB and Dr Neville Boyd from APC have created an excellent learning environment through a total re-fit in six areas across two buildings, each with three floors.
The library is one of the most impressive and distinctive parts of the school. The architecture salutes some of the great traditions of classical libraries with a high, double-storey ceiling, impressive floor-to-ceiling windows, and an emphasis on natural light and vertical shelving space. Stax was selected by Dr Boyd and Principal Mr Steve Cook because it was distinctive and bold, able to its own within the space. Planex supplied over 300 linear meters of storage, powder coated in Oxytech Golden Yellow to match the school colours.
