The project located in rural NSW had many dilemmas that the customer faced, the heavily sloping site, a BAL29 zone and the high presence of white ants. The Builder knew that they needed a product that would last.

With Spantec’s 30 years of experience the customer received exceptional service when receiving the full design and engineering offer for their flooring system. The kit was inclusive of a fully galvanized and cut to size system, beams that were strong, straight, true and the added benefit of greater spans meant that Spantec was the solution for the build.

When the first delivery arrived to site, the customer was surprised that every beam was labelled with their size, length and references relating back to the drawings that were provided. The beams were lightweight enough that only one person needed carry the beams and due to the size of the project this was a huge saving in labour.

The adjustable pier heads allowed the install to come together smoothly, if any of the levels didn’t match up it was a quick fix on the adjustable pier head onsite once the flooring was completed.

The customer was so impressed with how well the ground floor process was start to finish, that they had their engineer swap out the LVLs that were specified for the roof frame and instead replaced it with the Boxspan beams to utilize the greater spans.

Spantec was able to provide the full kit system for the ground floor, curved deck frame, curved roof along with all bracing and piers required.
