People are crowding into the towns. With the increasing urbanisation and concentration of the “town habitat”, large amounts of CO2 are emitted on a daily basis. A medium-sized car with a diesel engine which is inching through inner-city streets for about an hour in the morning, generates around 400 grammes of CO2 emission.
The percentage of electric vehicles compared to vehicles with combustion engines is still low. To increase the number of electric cars, the federal government in Germany would like to see seven to ten million electric cars on the roads by 2030. Other countries, such as Norway, want to ban the sale of new vehicles powered by petrol and diesel from 2025 in favour of electric cars.
Pillars for charging stations
WÖHR has recognised this trend in electromobility and is already offering environmentally-conscious clients solutions for the installation of electric charging stations on site at the parking spaces in a compact and aesthetically pleasing manner. Apart from the hardware, the clients also receive the correspondence advice, as electric charging is presenting us with the most diverse technical options. What type of power connection is required? What is the average charging time? Should there be a charge for the power consumption? Is there even sufficient power from the sockets to supply the building and the car with energy?
