Situated in a dense neighbourhood in South Jakarta, H House stands on a corner land plot that measures only over 60 square metres. A plot with this size is tiny already, but the buildable area is even more limited as the city regulation requires setbacks from two sides of the land plot that are adjacent to the streets. As a result, H House can only utilise not more than 40 square metres of the land to erect the building.

With the potential of being a supporting node of a popular destination, SHAU shapes Microlibrary Warak Kayu to reflect the local narrative. As its name suggests, warak is derived from warak ngedong—a local dragon-like mythical creature, which happens to be represented by the diamond-patterned timber façade. Furthermore, the use of stilt structure and mostly timber material embody the character of many traditional houses in Indonesia. This contextualised building brings affinity and appeal to the neighbourhoods and the visitors.

This dwelling is located at a housing precinct that borders Jakarta with its satellite city, Depok. A typical suburban house in this neighbourhood has rectangular structures and a pitched roof, so among such uniform facades, Vinyasa House stands out with its towering geometric mass.

Located at the tip of the Java island, Banyuwangi recently has developed into a destination for local and international tourists. Set amid the mountains on the west side, and the sea on the east which directly borders Bali island, this regency relies on the natural beauty of Java island which is not yet popular to public. To date, the development of Banyuwangi is supported by a number of national architects who were involved in the construction of tourist facilities as well as a variety of well-organized city and public spaces. A well-designed environment can be experienced even at the moment tourists set their foot for the first time when using the airlines.

Berlangsung pada tanggal 2 Mei 2019, Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) mengadakan seminar yang mengangkat tema arsitektur keberlanjutan dan isu lingkungan hidup yang terus merosot. Desainer Lighting dari Arab Saudi, Abdulaziz Al-Azem dari biro Design Tech Service membuka paparannya dengan sebuah ironi. Ia menyebutkan bahwa meskipun peradaban saat ini memiliki teknologi yang paling mutakhir, bangunan yang dirancang tidak lebih sustainable dibanding bangunan-bangunan yang berdiri ratusan tahun lalu.

Unit rumah seluas 450 m2 ini berada di kawasan yang tenang dengan pohon-pohon rindang berdiri tegak di sepanjang jalan. Di seberangnya dapat ditemukan lapangan golf, dan tak jauh dari sana, terdapat taman publik.

HighStreetStudio didirikan oleh Glenn Hajadi dan Rama Budhisurya secara organik. Dimulai dari permintaan teman SMA untuk mendesain sebuah rumah, Glenn dan Rama akhirnya terus mendapat kesempatan untuk mendesain lewat promosi word of mouth. Menurut mereka, hubungan dengan klien menjadi penting dan layak untuk dijaga bahkan setelah proyek selesai.
