About Häfele

Häfele is an international company providing hardware and fitting systems and electronic access control systems with a colourful history that started in 1923.

Häfele was established during a period of profound political and social upheaval. The Weimar Republic is just a few years old, and the consequences of the First World War are still evident everywhere. In 1923, when inflation reaches its climax in Germany, two young men (Adolf Häfele and Hermann Funk) take their fate into their own hands: on 1st December they establish the specialist shop for hardware "Products from the hardware and tool industry" in Aulendorf, Württemberg.

With a company history of more than 90 years, the Häfele family company is a global leader with regard to furniture fittings, architectural hardware and electronic locking systems.

Today, customers from over 150 countries rely on the competence and performance capability of Häfele. With more than 8.100 employees working at the Nagold Headquarters, 38 subsidiaries and countless further representatives worldwide, the Häfele Group posted revenue in excess of 1.5 billion Euros in the 2019 financial year. The proportion of foreign sales was approx. 80%.
