About Nonaka

Nonaka Woodworks was founded in June 1957. The founder, Masayoshi Nonaka (current chairman), aspired to be a furniture craftsman at the age of 17, and became a disciple of Okawa's woodworking factory from Imari.
At that time, he graduated from a disciple as early as four years when it took more than 10 years to be recognized as a craftsman. Recognized as a craftsman, after working for 4 years, he founded Nonaka Woodworks at the young age of 25. At first, while making a single standing clothes chest, he continued to hone his skills as a craftsman and started making wedding furniture around 1960. And on March 4, 1965, Nonaka Woodworks Co., Ltd. was established. Since then, it has been well received as a luxury wedding furniture manufacturer in the furniture industry due to its good quality.

For many years, we have made a track record as a wedding furniture maker, but from around 1991 we started developing living boards and beds, and planning and manufacturing various furniture such as dining, starting with winning a design competition. It came to be.

In July 2002, the second generation became president, and while developing furniture products with new ideas in line with modern times, taking advantage of the craftsmanship of craftsmen who have been cherishing for a long time, in mass production. We continue to make products with a high degree of perfection that cannot be done in every corner.
