Extending the success of Design Shanghai to the south of China, Design Shenzhen will kick off for the first time from the 27th of February to the 2nd of Mars 2023. Aritco’s Marketing Director for China, Sharon Qu, shares some thoughts ahead of the fair.
“Shenzhen is one of the cities with the best economic development in China, known as the Chinese Silicon Valley” says Sharon amid preparations for Aritco’s participation.
“It is only about a 30-minute train ride from Hong Kong and has long been the place for exhibitions for people from across the world looking to trade with China. Design Shenzhen is a new branch from the same people who organize Design Shanghai.”
“We have had great experiences in Shanghai for the past five years, so partaking in Shenzhen and reaching people in the South felt like a natural step for us.”
“The target audience is similar to that in Shanghai, with many architects, designers and the like coming to the exhibition. It will be a great opportunity to further extend our reach in this part of the market.”
“Also, Design Shenzhen only accept brands from overseas and with Aritco being fully imported from Sweden and already enjoying a premium brand status in China, we see ourselves as quite a good fit at this fair.”
“This is quite interesting. There has been a shift in consumer mindset over the past ten or so years. With China’s growing economy, people are now not mainly focused on the price tags of products.
