About Cerasan

The company started out following the settlement of a local family potter in Sibu, Sarawak. With the equipped skills and experiences, the family started the production on rough-glazed plant pots, vases and clay decorative items using local clay for the continuous three generations. The hard work and craftsmanship are duly acknowledged by the customers and the market thus leading to a successful production. With the push and need of the market, the family acquired the technology from Germany and moved on to the larger sanitaryware production, which is the production of toilet bowls and basins, thus establishing Sama Sanitaryware Sdn Bhd in 1994.

Having attained more than 20 years success through Sama Sanitaryware Sdn Bhd in manufacturing and trading of sanitarywares, the organization decided to take the production to a next level, extending its manufacturing operation by establishing Nagako Ceramics Sdn Bhd in 2000 at Sarikei, Sarawak (Borneo) comprised of 15 acres of land and managed by the specialist team with more than twenty years experience in manufacturing sanitarywares. Nagako Ceramics Sdn Bhd has successfully attained world-wide recognized certification “ISO 9001:2000” under the scope of “Manufacture of Vitreous China Sanitaryware and its accessories” in February 2002.

Today, both Sama Sanitarywares Sdn Bhd and Nagako Ceramics Sdn Bhd have grown rapidly as a significant manufacturer in the industry, playing a major role in this competitive market through their world-known brand, “Cerasan” and “Sama”. Both brands have effectively penetrates and comprised a large market including government projects, private sector projects, modern architectural buildings, showrooms and etc. Both brands have become forefront icons both locally and internationally.
