About HISTOR

Histor belongs to the group of authentic Dutch brands. Such as Verkade, Batavus and Douwe Egberts. After WWII, in 1949, conceived and put on the market by Albert van Wersch, director of the then Varossieau Verffabriek from Alphen aan de Rijn. He was an entrepreneur who met the future in a big way. The name Histor refers to Historia Exit, or 'the past has ended'. Van Wersch made Histor the largest A-paint brand in the Netherlands. More than sixty years later, Histor - thanks to high-tech innovations - is the do-it-yourselfer brand.
