First, we source timber from Africa, Asia, America, and Europe, selecting only the finest of its kind. If a striking pattern or grain catches our artisan’s meticulous eyes, it is selected and put through a strict processing and finishing process to ensure the wood is long-lasting and truly like no other.

Next, our craftsmen delicately creates customized timber flooring, doors, and furniture using specialized techniques and state-of-the-art machinery, ensuring every creation is a unique work of art that adds character to any interior space. Meanwhile, our timber specialists continually research and source for new ways to elevate our craft, so homes and offices around the world will always be adorned with distinctive artisanal wood creations.

History

The beginning of an endless love story

Our fairytale romance with timber began in 1999, when LUMBERmart Sdn Bhd first commenced operations. Birthed from the passion to provide quality timber flooring to Malaysians, as well as the desire to place the finishing touches on upscale home furnishing, LUMBERmart first began business by importing top quality raw timber before processing them for sale in local and international markets.

In 2000, we expanded our operations to include installation services, as the demands for beautiful and lasting timber flooring continued to rise. This led us to set up purchasing offices in Myanmar and Indonesia, our two main sources for highest quality tropical hard wood. LUMBERmart also became the first Malaysian timber company to be registered as a lifetime member of the National Wood Flooring Association, USA.

In 2002, driven by the dedication to become a recognised and respected expert within the timber flooring industry, we entered a strategic partnership with Bona from Sweden. This collaboration with a world leader enabled us to offer total solutions for timber floor treatment, through technology transfer, equipment, installation methods and training.
As LUMBERmart kept growing and expanding, in 2006 we moved into our current headquarters in Kota Damansara and build a warehouse in Klang, with a total combined area of 10,000 square metres. Since then, our gallery of timber flooring showcasing a uniquely exquisite range of timber, as well as innovative installation ideas, have continued inspiring awe in our clients and visitors.

In 2008, LUMBERmart was awarded “The Brand Laureate – SMEs Best Brands in Asia Pacific” under the category of manufacturing of solid timber flooring.

In 2010, we began to expand our international presence with the opening of our first overseas sales office in Singapore.

Today, both locally and internationally, LUMBERmart is recognised as a successful, home-grown, Malaysian small-medium-enterprise (SME) that has built a solid reputation for being expert wood artisans.
