Hear from Aston Consulting Managing Director, Jason Varker-Miles, on how Zip HydroTap Touch-Free Wave helped reduce workplace touchpoints for both their employees and their clients.
The COVID-19 pandemic is changing the way we operate, bringing in an era of more health and hygiene focused practices as well as flexible working arrangements. However, despite the benefits of flexible working, there is still a very important role for physical office space in facilitating collaboration and connection.
To help employers prepare for a COVID-safe return to the workplace, Zip worked closely with Aston Consulting to design and manufacture Zip HydroTap Touch-Free Wave, a contactless version of our flagship HydroTap which removes the need to touch the tap to operate and instead is sensor-operated.
Specialist Building Services Engineers, Aston Consulting, is one of the largest Zip Water product specifiers in Australia. To better understand what hygiene risks are involved in a typical office environment, they conducted research that showed a person will come into contact with up to 60 different touchpoints on an average workday.
Knowing this, Aston collaborated closely with Zip to develop a solution to this issue and to to help remove one of the most-touched workplace touch-points, the kitchen tap.
