Francis joined
Context two years ago after working overseas for 13 years and
subsequently, in partnership and as a sole practitioner for four.
Working in Melbourne, Sydney, Milan and London, Francis
built a strong portfolio of projects. His diverse experience spans historic
courtyard houses in Qatar using traditional construction methods to the
redevelopment of London’s heritage-listed King’s Cross Station.
With his promotion to Associate, Francis also joins
Context’s urban design team, bringing his international experience in designing
sustainable places with a strong identity to our multidisciplinary team of
architects, urban designers and landscape architects.
Francis has spent much of the last two years at Context
working closely with Kāinga Ora formerly Housing New Zealand in developing
exemplar sets of house and apartment designs.
“I’m excited to bring my learnings from living and
working internationally and developing guidelines for the future of social
housing to projects where we’re rethinking what’s possible in terms of
sustainability, housing models and community outcomes,” Francis explains.
Congratulations Francis!
